We are aspiring to build resilience across the Theatre Team within the new Centre by providing opportunities to develop a wide-range of skills and work flexibly as a Team, and to ultimately develop advanced practice roles within a theatre environment. There will also be a focus on managing and supporting junior staff within the Operating theatre. This would largely consist of elective Hip & Knee replacements, with an opportunity to expand practice with hand, foot & ankle surgery. The SFA role would focus on orthopaedic surgery on ASA 1 & 2 patients. The Centre is under construction on the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department. The NTC-H is a new purpose built centre which will provide care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. We are seeking enthusiastic and forward-thinking Surgical First Assistants who hold the UK accredited Surgical First Assistant qualification or be prepared to train towards that qualification, who are keen to learn new skills and join the newly forming National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC) Theatre Team.
